 • On-time Delivery
One of the biggest things we look for is the ability to meet delivery schedules. Huge cost savings are of no value if there are completion delays. Our experienced project managers know how to properly set schedules, create realistic expectations, and maintain excellent communications with our clients. A good company will not accept un-realistic schedules. CVIC SSC will give you realistic schedules and guarantee completion dates and/or costs.

Communications

The past few years have seen huge improvements in communications. It is now easy and inexpensive to exchange data, voice, and video over very secure links. The least expensive method is via the Internet. Using a phone is often expensive, but using voice or video over an IP can cut costs considerately.

CVIC SSC has set up highly secure servers that enable you to have nearly instant communication anytime with high-level encryption. The outsourcer can easily review progress or have all of the work submitted daily for review over these secure links. Usually one sets up a schedule when "meetings" will be held to review progress and any desired changes.

As well as developing it's local business, CVIC Software Services Canada, which is located in Regina, takes the role of bridging the communication gaps between the clients in north America and the developers in Jinan, where CVIC SE's headquarter is located.

Cost

 • In general, the expected costs
Developers, generally, $20 to $30/hour. Some work can be done for less, while specialties like SAP can cost more. There is usually an additional charge for project management for all but very small projects.

Minimal if requirements are not excessive and the internet can be used. Highly secure connections are easily available now.

 • Transportation, exchange of personnel
Nearly all larger projects necessitate some of the offshore team be on site for spec gathering in the beginning. Typical costs such as airfare and expenses of the outsourcers personnel should be calculated on a project-to-project basis.
